To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.<\/p>\n

LBW Psalm Prayer:<\/h4>\n

Lord, you keep constant guard over your faithful people. Protect us from hidden snares, deliver us from those who would seek to do us harm, and make us holy; that we may praise and bless your name and live in righteousness before you now and forever.<\/p>\n

1<\/sup>Deliver me, O LORD, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;<\/p>\n

2<\/sup>Which imagine mischiefs in their heart; continually are they gathered together for war.<\/p>\n

3<\/sup>They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders\u2019 poison is under their lips. Selah.<\/p>\n

4<\/sup>Keep me, O LORD, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.<\/p>\n

5<\/sup>The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.<\/p>\n

6<\/sup>I said unto the LORD, Thou art my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O LORD.<\/p>\n

7<\/sup>O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.<\/p>\n

8<\/sup>Grant not, O LORD, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device; lest they exalt themselves. Selah.<\/p>\n

9<\/sup>As for the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.<\/p>\n

10<\/sup>Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.<\/p>\n

11<\/sup>Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.<\/p>\n

12<\/sup>I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.<\/p>\n

13<\/sup>Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
