A Psalm of A\u2019-saph.<\/p>\n
Almighty Father, you rescued your people from slavery and, through the Passion of your Son, acquired a new people united in his body and marked with the sign of his holiness. Feed us with your finest bread so that we may have food for this life and a foretaste of eternity, where you live and reign with your Son and the Holy Spirit, now and forever.<\/p>\n
1<\/sup>Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.<\/p>\n 2<\/sup>Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.<\/p>\n 3<\/sup>Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.<\/p>\n 4<\/sup>For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.<\/p>\n 5<\/sup>This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.<\/p>\n 6<\/sup>I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.<\/p>\n 7<\/sup>Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah.
