Parish Sexton, Christopher Schulze

Christopher has been a member of Immanuel since he was a child and on any given Sunday can be seen a reader, assisting minister, communion assistant or helping with the coffee hour. He is a proud father to daughters, Allison and Amanda and has lived on the Upper East Side of New York most of his life.

In addition to maintaining the Sanctuary and undercroft spaces, Chris is responsible for the upkeep of Immanuel's two residential buildings and their 19 apartments, the Church offices and our grounds.

Chris also serves as Immanuel's tenant coordinator. In this role he schedules and contracts with outside groups for the use and rental of our undercroft and sanctuary spaces. The spaces are rented by a wide range of groups for meetings, rehearsals and/or concerts, holding pens for film crews, parties and class rooms.
